- The same product is packed regularly
- A consistent presentation or packing method is needed

Consider the Complete Packing Process
Packaging should work for everyone who handles it, from the employee filling the container to the customer or operator opening it.

- Whether employees can lift the completed package safely

- Whether products will be stacked
- How much warehouse space empty packaging requires
- Whether specialist equipment is needed
- How the customer will open and dispose of it
A slightly cheaper material may not provide the lowest overall cost if it increases packing time, product damage or material consumption.
Check Any Specialist Requirements
Products involving food, animal feed, chemicals, pharmaceuticals or hazardous waste may require specific packaging standards and documentation.
Do not assume that a material is suitable simply because it is described as strong, food grade or industrial. Confirm that the exact product meets the requirements of the contents, journey and applicable procedures.
